Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American singer and actress began by releasing witty raps which addressed sexual identities, racial identity and gender. Prior to her move to Hollywood her music, she came out with several rap tracks. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she grew up. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. Then, she even had some time learning Mandarin while in Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until after she graduated. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also contained hit songs with viral appeal, like the body positive Queef or her wink-inducing hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. The latter was tied to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. As a musician and an author on her resume she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. She has appeared in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines during the year 2018, appearing in a handful of notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
