Courteney Cox was an American actress, producer, director and director. The most famous of her roles is her performance in the TV series 'Friends' and because she played one of the main roles in the "Scream" movie franchise. The actress was born in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting when she was an infant. She enrolled to study architectural studies in Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC but she soon left her studies in pursuit of a full-time acting career. She made her film debut when she starred in the film 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining notoriety after appearing in one of the most important parts in the horror slasher film "Scream'. The film was profitable commercially, and it earned 11 times the budget. The film was also praised by the reviewers. She reprised her role in the entire trilogy to the movie. The fame of her character grew to highs when she took on the main character in the popular sitcom 'Friends'. She received several nominations and awards for her role. The show with a huge success, ran for 10 years. Her most recent works include a supporting role in the film drama "Mothers and Daughters'. The prizes she won include she was awarded the TV Guide Award to honor her role in the show "Friends," as well as the Golden Derby Award for her performance in the TV program 'Cougartown'.
